Children of REUBEN BAGBY and NANCY ISBELL are:
1. PLEASANT CAVIL BAGBY, b. about 1799, Campbell County, Virginia; d. about 1881.
Note: Source for middle name:The Shearer-Akers family; Author: Shearer, James William; City of Publication: Somerville, N.J. Publisher: Press of the Somerset Messenger; 1915; page 19. - research submitted by Dan Dunham. - Research speculation: Note that this provides: a full middle name for Pleasant C Bagby; slightly different dates for the birth and death of his first wife Nancy Akers; and the names of her parents. I would guess that her mother’s maiden name was actually Bryant, as that is the given name of Nancy’s first child with Pleasant Bryant Akers Bagby.
2. FRANCES H. BAGBY, b. about 1805; d. after 1880, Finley Township, Christian County, Missouri; m. CRAWFORD CRENSHAW, November 29, 1825, Cumberland County, Virginia; b. about 1800, Virginia; d. before 1870, Finley Township, Christian County, Missouri.
Notes:
Her husband was previously listed as Crowder Crenshaw.

ROBERT BAGBY 3 (WILLIAM 2, ROBERT 1) was perhaps born April 05, 1779 in Virginia, and died about 1827 in Quincy, Kentucky, Lewis County. He married FANNY UNKNOWN, date Unknown. She was born Unknown and died about 1849. FRANCES "FANNY" THOMPSON July 24, 1797 in Mason County, Kentucky. She was born Unknown, and died Unknown.
Research Notes per Dan Dunham:
Source: Evelyn Jackson and William Talley, Eastern Kentucky References, (Cook & McDowell Publications, 1980), page 332, William Marshall died at the res. of John Bagby, in Greenup County near Springville, June 29. He was born in Virginia, moved to Kentucky 1830. 78 years. Wife died 1849. (Note Mrs. Fanny Bagby married William M. Marshall, January 8, 1830, in Lewis County, Kentucky.
Previous information published about Fanny was that her name was Frances "Fanny" Thompson. That research was based upon the fact that Robert Bagby, Jr. had chosen a Matthew Thompson as his guardian in 1830 (while brothers William and John chose oldest brother Willis) coupled with Thompson being a closely associated name with a number of the children of Robert and Fanny. Willis Bagby married Mary Thompson whose sister Sarah L Thompson was the mother of the wife of William Bagby - Eliza Waring. Mary and Sarah Thompson were also sisters of James Thompson married Katherine McAllister, the sister to James McAllister who married, Catherine S Bagby, daughter of Willis and Mary [Thompson] Bagby. (While there is no documentation to prove this assumption the information has been submitted by another researcher to Broderbund and published on a CD by Family Tree Maker.)

Robert
Bagby, April 5, 1779 and died 1827. In "The Bagby Family of Lewis
County, Kentucky" by William Talley published in the Lewis County
Herald, Vanceburg, Kentucky. July 15, 1971 the following info was found.
"An
ancient tombstone has been unearthed near Quincy in a very unusual manner.
Mr. Jim Vance, who lives on the farm of Mrs. Kathryn Ort Clark, near
Quincy, was fishing on the riverbank a few weeks ago, when a large section
of the riverbank gave way. Mr. Vance later observed that the earth slide
had uncovered an old tombstone, which had been buried under about six
feet of soil. The inscription on the stone read: Robert Bagby, Sr.,
died in 1827, in his 45th year.
It
is strange that this tombstone was so near the river because the old
Bagby Graveyard, where members of this family are buried, is beside
the little barn which Mr. Dewey Taulbee built across the road from the
Ort farm.
The
Robert Bagby, whose tombstone was located on the riverbank, made his
last will in Lewis County on October 21, 1827. It was probated April
21, 1828. It is recorded in Lewis County Will Book B, page 266. In his
will, he mentions his wife, Fanny, the following children, Lewis Bagby,
Jr., Willis Bagby, Robert Bagby, Jr., William Bagby, John Bagby, Nancy
Bagby (who married Alexander Thompson), & two other daughters, whose
names are not given. These two unnamed daughters were Frances Bagby,
who married William Bilderback in 1829, and Mary Bagby, who married
John T. Scott in 1842.
Robert
Bagby, Sr., mentions a schoolhouse on his farm, which is the earliest
in the Quincy area. This Bagby family later became very prominent in
the city of Grayson. Some moved to Lexington."
