He married HELENA ELIZABETH "LENA" HEFFKEN, the daughter of WILHELM HEFFKEN and THEODORA STELTERMANN on March 04, 1906 in Athens County, Ohio. She was born April 18, 1889 in Oberhausen, West Germany and died August 28, 1970 in Nelsonville, Athens County, Ohio (Nelsonville Hospital).
